Explanatory Answer

Prime factorize both the numbers.
404 = 22 × 101
96 = 25 × 3

LCM is the product of the "highest" power of "all prime" factors.
LCM = 25 × 101 × 3 = 9696

HCF is the product of the "lowest power" of "common prime" factors.
HCF = 22 = 4

LCM × HCF = 9696 × 4 = 38,784
Product of the two given numbers 404 × 96 = 38784
∴ HCF × LCM = Product of the two given numbers
